THE RHARMALOGICAL CHARACTERISTIC:
NAIP, high-selective inhibitor COG-2. It renders anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action. It suppresses formation of free oxygen radical without influence upon hemostasis and phagocytosis. It inhibits setting free of ferment myeloperoxidase. After intake nimesulid it is well soaked up in digestive tract. The maximal concentration of active material in plasma of blood is defined through 1,5 – 2,5 hours after reception. The linkage with albumin plasma of blood is 99%. It is metabolized in liver. The main metabolite is hidroxinimesulid (25%), it is pharmacologically active. About 65% of nimesulid are eliminated with urine, 35% - with excrement.

THE INDICATIONS: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendinitis, painful syndrome of different etiology, including gynecological disease, at postoperative period, at trauma, the fever at infectious-inflammatory disease.

THE CONTRADICATIONS: round ulcer of ventricle and/or duodenum, the expressed disorder functions of liver and kidneys (clearance of creatinine is less 30 ml/min); raised sensitivity to nimesulid.

THE SIDE EFFECTS: as a rule, weakly denominated, have temporal character and do not require canceling of nimesulid. It is possible heartburn, sickness, pain in epigastric area, headache, dizziness, allergic reaction in the manner of skin rash.

THE SPECIAL INSTRUCTION: at prescription nimesulid to the patients of the elderly age correction of the regimen of dosing it is not required. At period of pregnancy it is not recommended to prescribe nimesulid ( especially in III trimester ) because of danger of the premature closing duct of Botallo of the fetus and development of womb’s atony at the mother. If necessary to prescribe nimesulid at the period of the breast feeding follows to solve the problem about cessation of the breast feeding.

THE INTERACTIONS: nimesulid possesses high affinity to albumin of plasma of blood, so it can supercede other medicinal facilities from places of their linkage. It is not noted clinical significant interaction of nimesulid with furosemid, varpharin, digoxin, theophylline, glibenclamid, cymetidin,

OVERDOSE: cases of overdose are not described. Specific antidote does not exist. The symptomatic therapy is conducted in case of overdose.
